Resolved
That the Consents and Regulatory Committee of the Taranaki Regional Council:
a) takes as read and confirms the minutes including the public excluded minutes and
resolutions of the Consents and Regulatory Committee meeting of the Taranaki
Regional Council held
Director-Resource Management, spoke to the memorandum updating
the Committee on the work the Ministry for the Environment has planned over the
next 12 to 18 months and provided commentary on the implications for the Council, in
particular the small Policy team.
Recommended
That the Taranaki Regional Council:
1. receives the memorandum Ministry for the Environment – current work programme
2. notes the many areas of interest or concern to the Council.

6. New Zealand Transport Agency Regional Report
6.1 Ms P McLean, NZ Transport Agency, spoke to the NZ Transport Agency’s Quarterly
Report (tabled) to the Taranaki Regional Transport Committee updating Members on
Agency news and activities.
6.2 A number of matters were noted and discussed by the Committee, including some staff
changes at the NZ Transport Office in New Plymouth and the recruitment of a Network
Manager to be based in New Plymouth or Palmerston North.

the report. He believes that Council is not giving Iwi representatives the same
