(1) Every –
a. Permission granted under any of Parts 2, 4, and 5 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1977 (or
the corresponding provisions of any former enactment); and
b. License or permit granted under section 146A or section 156 or section 162 or section 165 of the
Harbours Act 1950, Order in Council made under section 175 of that Act, and every approval
there is a high proportion of maintenance costs
such as scrub clearance associated with low
producing land, the financial return may
improve. The Council’s Land Management staff
can provide advice on sustainable land
management practices and assist you with
applying for STRESS funding.

There were plenty of April showers last month with nearly 775mm of rain at the North Egmont Visitors Centre and 574.5mm at Dawson Falls. Rainfall for June was on average 146.5% of the long-term average, and ranged from 96.4% at Kahui Hut to 205.8% at Pohokura Saddle in East Taranaki. Rainfall was elevated on the southern side of the Maunga and central and northern hill country. Year to date rainfall is sitting between 95.5% (Kotare at OSullivans) and 198.8% (Kapoaiaia at Lighthouse) with an average of 126.9% of normal. Mean river flows for June were way up from May, and are generally above typical June averages at around 159.2%
