so there was no need for the Council to notify
the Iwi as is the usual case for incidents with environmental effects.
2.8 The Vector flyover pipeline inspection on the 14th September 2010 did not observe
anything of concern along the pipeline easement, so it can be assumed the leak
started approximately between 14th September and 8th October.
2.9 Immediately after the leak was discovered, three pipelines located in an easement,

Most farmers have concerns about land sustainability on
particular parts of their properties. It may be that a farmer
needs advice on how to stabilise a sand blow in pasture near
the coast; or how to establish shelter in a windswept paddock

understorey and ground cover is in good condition and is made up of a wide
number of shrub species including Kawakawa (Piper excelsum), Kanono
(Coprosma grandifolia), and Coprosma areolata along with a wide range of
ferns. Also of note is a small area containing Swamp maire (Syzygium
maire) and the fern Deparia petersenii subsp. congrua (both rated
Regionally Distinctive).
