As required by the conditions of their consents, the Company has submitted an Injection Operation
Management Plan for each active injection well. The plans are required to include the operational details of
the injection activities and to identify the conditions that would trigger concerns about the integrity of the
injection well, the receiving formation or overlying geological seals. The plans are also required to
data acquisition to come within two kilometres of the shoreline in water depths of 10 m. The survey
was followed up with 70 km2 of transitional 3D seismic that overlapped and linked with existing onshore
seismic data.
In 2002, detailed design and planning of the field, including the resource consenting process began, with
construction commencing in 2005. In 2006, the major milestone of commercial gas to market was achieved
from the three onshore wells.
Development of the field involved
Reinspection found that the abatement notice had been complied
with. The improvement that had been required in the Company’s administrative performance in the 2021-
2022 year due to the lack of provision of the Erosion and Sediment Control Plan was achieved early in the
2022-2023 year.
For reference, in the 2022-2023 year, consent holders were found to achieve a high level of environmental
performance and compliance for 878 (87%) of a total of 1007 consents monitored through the Taranaki

Maps to be provided in a Plan
To meet certification requirements, you’re required
standalone pumps. This avoided the need for
offsite discharges during the demolition phase when there was increased risk of entrainment of
contaminants. The irrigation is permitted under Rule 29 of the Council’s Regional Fresh Water Plan which
allows discharges of contaminants from industrial premises onto land. The likely contaminants of concern,

2022-2023 period found that the site was tidy and well
managed. The Rimu Production Station was shut down in August 2022. The site is currently holding low
pressure nitrogen/air as an internal moth balling preservative.
The consents for the Manutahi-E, F, and H wellsites have been left to expire, while Kauri-D and Manutahi-C
wellsites have both been removed and the sites converted to grass.
The Company have plans to put some low producing oil wells back on line in the Kauri field in late
