4. Regional rules
4.1 Introduction
Section 3.0 of this plan states that regional rules will be used in a number of instances to
manage the effects of use, development and protection of the coastal marine area. This
section contains the detail of the regional rules to be used to give effect to the policies in this
plan.

7. Submission on Enabling Investment in
Yarrow Stadium rate, which is now replaced by the new rating arrangement that also covers the cost of grandstand repairs. There is no double-dipping. Nor are there depreciation reserve funds. Not all the works in the asset management plan were funded. ✔ The Council also considered demolition of one or other Stand. Each has different issues (the West Stand’s relate to ground stability, the East Stand’s relate mainly to construction/engineering), but the repairs in both cases are complex and the cost
regional initiatives such as the switch to land-based treatment and disposal of dairy effluent, and completion of Taranaki’s Riparian Management Programme. A new Regional Freshwater and Land Management Plan for Taranaki, however, is a number of years away, as the Council awaits finalised Government decisions and initiatives. Well-qualified, experienced scientific and technical staff deliver the Council’s environmental monitoring programmes.
