The Taranaki Regional Council is fixing its 2023/2024 administrative charges pursuant to section 36 of the
Resource Management Act 1991. As part of this process, the Council is undertaking a special consultative
procedure (refer section 83 of the Local Government Act 2002).

key responsibility areas are provided as a guide only. Performance measures for this job will
need further discussion between the job holder and People Leader/Manager as part of the
performance development process.

• Deliver assigned field monitoring activities and inspections to assist the
Taranaki Regional Council Scientists in compliance and state of
environment monitoring programmes.

Autumn arrived in Taranaki in March with an average air tempeature of 14.5°C - 1.7°C cooler than normal. The highest temperature was 25.7°C at Inglewood at Oxidation Ponds. There was an average of 95.9mm rainfall – 14% less than usual – although there were some big downpours on te Maunga with 374.5mm at the North Egmont Visitors Centre and 351mm at Dawson Falls.
