Proposed Pest Management Plan & Draft Biodiversity Strategy
The Proposed Regional Pest Management Plan for Taranaki sets out the Council's powers and rules to prevent, reduce, or eliminate the adverse effects of 18 targeted pests in the region. Separate cost-benefit analyses have also been produced.
The Draft Taranaki Regional Council Biosecurity Strategy outlines the Council’s broader biosecurity goals and actions over the next 20 years, including both regulatory and non-regulatory activities and addressing all harmful organisms.
Public consultation on the Proposed Plan and Draft Strategy runs from 20 May to 30 June 2017.

Feedback on the working paper will inform the development of a proposed Pest Management Plan for Taranaki.
