Taranaki public bus services will be affected by the high-octane bustle of AmeriCARna this Thursday, Friday and Saturday (23-25 February).
Thursday 23 February
INGLEWOOD
The Connector, Your Connector, and Citylink School Route 98 services will continue to use the Moa St stops in Inglewood and follow the detours in place.
WAITARA
Citylink Route 20 will follow a detour to access the relocated bus stops in the CBD. Temporary bus stops will be:
- Queen Street (near 39) relocated to the corner of Queen & Ogle Street (Ogle Street, both sides).
- McLean Street (near 87) relocated up the road past the intersection of Cracroft & McLean (near the Church).
Passengers please signal for the bus.
Friday 24 February
STRATFORD
Miranda Street will be closed to traffic from 7am to 1.30pm. The Connector and Your Connector passengers will need to use the following relocated bus stops:
- Northbound stop will be relocated to Portia St at the Western end of the War Memorial carpark, near the tennis courts.
- Southbound stop will be relocated to Juliet Street outside Mitre 10.
HAWERA
High Street will be closed to traffic from 11am to 5.45pm, therefore the South Taranaki i-SITE bus stop will be closed. Passengers using the Connector and Your Connector services will need to use the following relocated bus stop:
- Northbound and southbound stop will be relocated to the corner of Collins St and High St, by the roundabout.
NEW PLYMOUTH
The Citylink and Connector services may experience delays in accessing the bus stops on Liardet St, Ariki St, and Egmont Street in New Plymouth in the late afternoon.
Saturday 25 February
NEW PLYMOUTH
Citylink Saturday Routes 10 & 11 will use the Egmont Street bus stop for the duration of Saturday.
