Gardener with strong vision and good eye

Russell Matthews had a strong vision, a sense of style, a good eye for landscaping and the skills and wherewithall for major construction. He enjoyed fashionable plants and liked to be first to acquire them, often buying two or three at a time because of the status they afforded the garden. His vision lives on at this grand property, which the people of the region are free to enjoy.
