South Link bus.

General information

These once-a-week passenger transport services run in the South Taranaki District, under contract to the Taranaki Regional Council.

The operators are Hawera Taxis Ltd (Hawera-Opunake, Opunake-Hawera, Hawera-Waverley and Waverley-Hawera) and Pickering Motors (Opunake-New Plymouth).

Note that passengers travelling on the Friday service from Hawera to Opunake via Manaia can connect at Opunake with the Friday service to New Plymouth or the Friday service to Hawera via Kaponga and Eltham.

Super Gold Card. Super Gold Card for veterans.

Super Gold Card

Holders of Super Gold Cards can travel free on off-peak South Link and New Plymouth City Link services (that is, services running between 9am and 3pm weekdays, and all Saturday services).

 

The SuperGold Card is available to all eligible New Zealanders aged 65 or over and those under this age who receive NZ Superannuation or the Veterans Pension.
