Oil and gas industry guide to the regional plans

A Guide to Regional Plans in Taranaki - for oil and gas exploration and production activities - published 2001

The Taranaki Regional Council has prepared four regional plans under t he Resource Management Act. These plans aim to improve and maintain the quality of our region's environmental resources - our fresh water, soil, coast and our air. They do this by setting out policies and rules that govern the environmental effects of various activities.

This Guide is to help those in the oil and gas exploration and production industry interpret the four regional plans, and to work out which activities are covered by the requirements of the plans.
