Marine Oil Spill Contingency Plan

Cover of Marine Oil Spill Contingency Plan. The Taranaki Regional Council is responsible for responding to Tier 2 marine oil spills and is required to have a Contingency Plan for doing so.

This operational plan follows the format and, as far as practicable, the content of the National Oil Spill Contingency Plan prepared by Maritime New Zealand.

This is to ensure a co-ordinated approach should a regional (Tier 2) response escalate to a national (Tier 3) response.

The plan has been split into sections for easier downloading.
