Environmental award nominations

The Taranaki Regional Council Environmental Awards scheme recognises initiatives that maintain and enhance the region’s high-quality environment.

The awards raise awareness of environmental issues and encourage environmental stewardship and the concept of sustainable development. Of particular interest are initiatives and activities that further the philosophy of the Resource Management Act 1991.

Nominations for these awards are invited from all sections of the community including individuals, professional or community groups, companies, schools or local authorities. Applicants may nominate their own project or that of another person or organisation.

Nominations for the 2010 awards close on 31 March 2010.
