Starting from Tuesday 12 March, there are some important updates to bus routes 6 - Vogeltown/Brooklands, 8 - Merrilands/Highlands Park and the Connector - Hāwera to New Plymouth.
Changes include the following:
Route 6 - Vogeltown/Brooklands [PDF, 263 KB]:
- The Exteter/Somerset/Kaimata Street loop has been removed to provide a more direct bus service.
- Alternative stops include St Pius school and Brooklands Road (near #70).
- You can hail and ride this bus service for added convenience!
Route 8 - Merrilands/Highlands Park [PDF, 661 KB]:
- Two bus stops have been decommissioned - Kauri Street (near #26) and Mangorei Road (near #193).
- The bus route will continue on Riversdale Drive, turn onto Turakina Street and back onto Mangorei Road.
- Alternative stops include Riversdale Drive (near #48) or Mangorei Road (near #221).
- Don't forget, you can also hail and ride this bus service.
- Additional bus stops have been added on Coronation Avenue for your convenience.
- The northbound bus stop is near #192 Coronation Ave (near Saddle & Sulky Motel) and is a drop-off only.
- The southbound bus stop is near #211 Coronation Ave (outside Headstone Warehouse).
