We're excited to announce an important update regarding the Your Connector bus service.
Over recent times, the Your Connector bus has experienced increased demand, especially during Monday mornings and Friday afternoons, leading to overcrowding concerns, particularly for our boarding school students. Recognising the significance of ensuring a safe and comfortable travel environment, we've taken swift action to address this issue.
A new boarders' bus service will commence on Monday, 4 March and will operate on Monday mornings and Friday afternoons.
Specifically designed to cater to students from New Plymouth Boys’ High School, New Plymouth Girls’ High School, and Sacred Heart Girls’ College, this bus will feature ample luggage storage space to accommodate student belongings.
Payment for this bus service will not be supported through Bee Cards. However, concession cards will be available for purchase directly from the bus driver using cash, at the discounted Bee Card fare. Additionally, students have the option to transfer their existing Bee Card credit to a concession card for seamless travel.
To ensure a smooth transition, we kindly request all concerned parties to complete the provided form accessible here(external link). This will enable us to organise concession cards for students and transfer any remaining Bee Card credit accordingly.
