General information
- You can purchase your ticket from the bus driver when getting on the bus.
- When boarding the bus, place your Citylink SmartCard on the recorder, or pay your cash fare, and tell the driver your destination.
- Remember to take your ticket as proof of purchase.
- Services run Monday to Friday with a limited service on Saturdays.
- There are no services on Sundays or Public Holidays.
- The driver has the right to refuse admission or remove passengers whose conduct is offensive.
- Smoking and the consumption of foodstuffs and alcohol are strictly prohibited.
- No responsibility is taken for articles left on buses. Lost items can be reported to Tranzit Coachlines.
- If there is no bus stop nearby, please signal the bus driver to stop.
- Free transfer tickets are available, please see the fares page.
- People with disabiities may qualify for concession fares under the Access scheme.
- SuperGold Card holders can travel for free on off-peak services.

Code of conduct
Tranzit Coachlines and the Taranaki Regional Council want all passengers to enjoy a comfortable and safe environment when using CityLink services. All passengers, including school-bus passengers, must understand and comply with this code of conduct.
All passengers have the right to:
- Fair treatment and respect
- A friendly and efficient service
- A safe, comfortable and clean environment when waiting or travelling.
You are responsible for:
- Your belongings and personal effects.
- Your own behaviour.
- Paying the correct fare when boarding (cash or SmartCard).
- Showing any required ID or ticket pass (term pass or year pass) when boarding.
- Reporting any mistreatment or damage to property.
- Following the instructions of any bus driver, District or Regional Council 0fficer, security or police officer.
- Understanding and respecting the rights of other people using or waiting for a bus at a designated area.
- Retaining your ticket as proof of purchase and showing it on request.
You must not:
- Threaten, bully, harass or cause physical or verbal harm to others (this includes other passengers and pedestrians or people in other vehicles). Police or schools (if a student is involved) will be contacted to take action.
- Eat, chew gum or smoke on the bus.
- Sit or stand in step-wells, armrests or place feet on the back of the seats.
- Drink alcoholic or non alcoholic beverages, as this contravenes the Transport Act.
- Spit or litter. Please use rubbish bins at the front of the bus.
- Tag, graffiti or damage anything. This behaviour may lead to police involvement.
- Stand in front of the driver.
- Take an animal on to the bus unless it is a guide dog.
- Use emergency equipment unless it is an emergency situation.
