Holders of Super Gold Cards can travel free on all off-peak City Link services (that Super Gold Card holders can also travel for free on most South Link and Inglewood-NP bus services. The SuperGold Card is available to all eligible New Zealanders aged 65 or over and those under this age who receive NZ Superannuation or the Veterans Pension. Smart cards
Want discounted fares? Want to avoid the hassles of carrying cash? Smart card ticketing is available on all services with three-digit route numbers. The initial card cost is $15 - $5 for the card and $10 worth of travel to get you started. The minimum recharge amount is $10. Cards can be recharged on the bus (cash only) or by visiting Tranzit Coachlines at 15 Sunley Street, New Plymouth. Smart card fares are deducted at the 10-trip concession rate. The smart card is an additional fare option for passengers. Old-style 10-trip concession tickets are still available.
