Inglewood bus

A weekly return bus service from Inglewood to New Plymouth started on 1 November 2007, giving residents access to retailers and other services not available locally.

The new bus service, which runs on Thursdays, is being operated by Tranzit Coachlines, assisted by the Taranaki Regional Council and Land Transport New Zealand. The trial period has been extended to the end of June 2009.

The service has been timed to arrive at Ariki Street five minutes before CityBus departures to other parts of the city.

Bookings are preferred but the bus can be hailed from anywhere on the route. To book, call New Plymouth 757 5783 or Stratford 765 5843.

For any comments on the new bus services phone (06) 765 7127, or write in to Private Bag 713, Stratford or email info@trc.govt.nz.
